A 2015 graduate of the Université de Montréal's Bachelor of Laws program and a 2017 graduate of the same institution's Master of Notarial Law program, M^e Geneviève Barsalou was admitted to the Chambre des Notaires in April 2017. She then joined the Notarial Services group of the Sept-Îles office, where she did her internship in notarial law and began her career as a notary. She has developed her experiences in many notarial fields, such as commercial financing, dismemberment of property rights, donations, and successions, but especially in wills and mandates of protection, commercial and residential real estate, and non-contentious proceedings. She offers her services in both French and English.

Originally from Montreal, M^e Barsalou moved to Charlevoix in 2019 and opted for private practice between two maternity leaves. She then returned to assist in the Sept-Îles office on a remote basis since January 2022.

M^e Barsalou is said to be both a leader and a team player. Clients like her for her professionalism and her ability to simplify the more complex elements of their cases. She is committed to advising them on protecting their assets and their families through most of the significant events in their lives. M^e Barsalou is available, accessible, professional, an excellent legal communicator, hard-working, close to her clients, so many words that describe her perfectly.

A member of the Maison de la famille de Charlevoix board, M^e Barsalou also took professional training in classical ballet before becoming a notary. Through dance and teaching, this avid hiker, kayaker, and traveller, approaches her work with remarkable discipline and rigour.
